Your parent or another adult approved by your parent, such as a teacher or grandparent must remain at the hotel throughout this event. Chaperoning adults are invited to take part in some or all of the WCB state convention to learn about the various programs and services available for people who are blind, as well as hear from successful, blind adults. Have them read the Convention Bulletin for details about the convention and to register.

On the Friday evening following the Student Summit, there will be a Showcase of Talent as part of the Washington Council of the Blind (WCB) state convention. Although you are welcome to take part as a performer or in the audience, this takes place after the Summit’s conclusion, so a chaperoning adult must attend as well.

The WCB convention continues on through Saturday, November 5, concluding with the banquet that night. All are welcome to stay for the entire convention. The complete registration rate which includes up to five meals is an additional $45 ($95 total) and the room rate at the hotel is $99 (plus tax) per night. Your Youth Service Specialist is prepared to assist with this as well.
