It is with great pleasure that I invite you to join us at the 2017 Washington Council of the Blind (WCB) State Convention being held October 26-28, 2017, at the Red Lion Pasco, 2525 N. 20th Ave., Pasco, WA 99301.
WCB is an affiliate of the American Council of the Blind and hosts one of the largest state conventions of the blind in the country. It’s been eight years since we found ourselves in the Tri-Cities, and we anticipate 200 or more attendees. We want you there for all the fun!
Exhibits will be open on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Set up will begin at 9:00 am with tear down immediately following the 5:00 pm closing. . Vendors are expected to stay, ready for business during these published operating hours to ensure attendees have opportunity to visit all booths.
The cost to exhibit for this event is just $50 per six foot table with a maximum of two tables (space permitting). Registration is not guaranteed until the vendor registration form is completed and payment is received in full, and is based on space availability. Please note: WCB’s policy is to give priority to those exhibiting blindness-related products and services.
Since the Exhibit Hall will not close for lunch, as a courtesy to vendors, we have made arrangements for box lunches to be brought to the exhibit hall at noon (optional) at a cost of $25. Those registering for the convention (with meal package) and who check the appropriate box to have their lunch served in exhibits on the convention registration form, need not pay the additional fee for lunch on this form.
To stay at the Red Lion Pasco at the WCB convention rate of $95 plus tax per night, make reservations by calling the hotel directly at 509-547-0701 and be sure to mention the WCB convention. October 4, 2017 is the deadline for hotel reservations, registering as an exhibitor and registering for the WCB convention.
Although it is not required of exhibitors, you can show your support for WCB by registering for the convention itself and/or by purchasing a 2017 WCB Convention T-shirt for just $15. Several registration options are available, as follows:
$25 – Registration only,
$50 – Registration plus banquet,
$95 – Registration plus meal package (includes up to 5 meals).
If you decide to register for the convention itself, be sure to fill out the Convention Registration form as well as the Vendor registration form.
Important! Vendor Registration must be completed (including payment received) no later than October 4, 2017 to ensure placement in our published Exhibitors List, as well as space availability.
